I chose to specialize in caring for hands, wrists, and elbows as well as feet and ankles because the treatments, both nonsurgical and surgical, are directly impactful in getting my patients back to their occupations, sports, and leisure activities.
My philosophy is centered on kindness and compassion while offering detailed attention to my patients’ problems, not only for the orthopaedic issues at hand, but also for the patient as a whole. For all patients who walk into my office, I try to learn about their backgrounds, occupations, and activities or hobbies they enjoy doing with their hands and feet.
I am fairly conservative in my treatment approach and try various nonsurgical options such as injections or physical/occupational therapy before offering surgery. If surgical treatment is warranted, however, I give patients an honest, evidence-based outlook in regards to the expected outcomes, rehabilitation plans, and time needed to return to activities.
